European Championship - Held in
Yugoslavia - 1976 Winners Czechoslovakia

shock in the history of European football championships. However, there
were clues
that a new football talent was emerging when Czechoslovakia beat
England. For the English this was much like the way that Hungary caused a
surprise when they beat
England in 1953.
Apart from the champions, the other semi-finalists
were the form teams, Germany, Holland and Yugoslavia.
Question: One football team is sometimes shown in
the records as Montenegro and Serbia, what is that team also known as?
Top scorer overall: Givens (Ireland) 8 goals
