Euro 2004 Football - Czech Republic |

Prospects for the European Football Championship 2004The Czech Republic have a good record in football championships and excellent recent form. They will be hard to beat. As you know I do not rate friendlies, however losing to the Irish Republic may have done the Czechs a good turn relieving them of the pressure of being unbeaten. What we have in Group D is a three way struggle and I think that the Czechs will win through. But each game should be a gripping encounter. Holland and the Czech Republic have had three co-incidences in recent times. Both missed the last World Cup, both were drawn in Qualifying group 3, and now both are drawn in group D for the football finals in Portugal. What next? A Dutch Czech final - surely not. Previous qualifications: 1960, 1976, 1976 (Won), 1980, 1996, 2000
