This summer, Will and his wife, Steve, travelled to SW France for their annual holiday. Staying in a delightful holiday cottage, Les Costes, in the Lot and Garonne, they were able to explore the Dropt Valley which is a lovely area of France. It is located close to the medieval bastide town of Eymet in the Dordogne. It is also near to Duras, with its magnificent chateau. These towns and many other villages are home to attractive markets, bars, cafés and restaurants.

In the summer months particularly, the local Dordogne towns host a plethora of festivals. These include medieval jousting, jazz and food and wine festivals both during the day and into the night when the local farmers and vintners can show off their wares.

Local Chateaux sell Côtes de Duras wines at reasonable prices. Will and Steve's favourites being wine from the Chateau Molhière and Chateau Le Grave Béchade which are a stone's throw from Pardaillan.

Les Costes Dordogne Holiday Cottage

Les Costes is a beautiful stone holiday cottage is owned by Paul and Yvonne Clarke and is joined to their home and it is available for rent throughout the year. The accommodation is extremely comfortable. It consists of a large double bedroom which is light and airy.

A large bathroom enjoys a Jacuzzi bath and a shower. The lounge and kitchen area is spacious and fitted with all mod cons.  Les Costes has a swimming pool which is shared with the hosts.  Other facilities for this Dordogne holiday cottage include a barbeque and access to bicycles if required.

Everything taken into account; enjoy a lively time in this area of France, or, if preferred, it is an area in which you can enjoy total peace and tranquillity.  The choice is yours.
