In July 2007 the phenomenon that is David Beckham moves from Spain to California.  He has a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy that could be worth up to $250 million.

1) Beckham - Say Hello, America

"I'm coming there to make a difference. I'm coming there to play football," Beckham said. "I'm not saying me coming to the States is going to make soccer the biggest sport in America. ... But I think soccer has a huge, huge potential. I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't believe in this project. This could create something that we've all never seen before."

2) Spanish Fans are distraught and rub out his number

Before joining Real Madrid in 2003, Beckham played for Manchester United from 1992-2003.  So far, he has played for England 94 times.  A lesser known fact is that David Beckham is an OBE.
